Dr. Thompson is originally from Arkansas and received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center before moving to Oregon for residency. His medical degree and oral and maxillofacial surgery training were completed at Oregon Health and Science University. He went on to complete a fellowship in Cleft and Craniofacial surgery at the El Paso Children’s hospital In Texas. After completing his training, he joined HNSA in 2021.
His areas of practice include dental implants, wisdom tooth extractions, adult and pediatric maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, sleep surgery and benign pathology. In addition, he also has a special interest in TMJ surgery including total joint replacement.
Dr. Thompson was a 4yr letterman in football for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks earning a full scholarship playing tight end. One of the appeals of Oregon is his love of outdoor adventure including: cycling, climbing, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.
